Adding a Video Widget

For each video you add, you can insert a destination link that will take users to your location of choice once they click on it. This widget allows you to add a video to your Homepage to allow for a more customized experience for your store. If your video has sound, users will be able to hear it as long as they have their volume on their mobile device!

Like with images, videos on the homepage can be linked to particular locations by using a destination link. You can direct users to a custom URL, pages, cart, or to specific product once your video is tapped on.

Watch the tutorial below to see how you can set this up on your Shoppy Dashboard:

Watch this short clip below to see how link destinations can work with videos in your own app:

  • Video Title: an additional title you can give the widget, displayed above the video.

  • Don't Show the Title: with this checkbox you can decide whether or not to show the title of the widget, added above the video.

With the addition of this feature on Shoppy, videos that you upload under Shopify under a description of a product can now also appear in-app!
