Standard Notifications are available on all Shoppy plans, and allow you to send or schedule notifications to send your Shoppy app users.
On your Shoppy Dashboard, go to Engage, and click on Standard Notification.
After Clicking on Add Push Notification, you can add the title, description, and optional image to accompany your notification. Under Link you can choose to link the notification to a destination of your choice, such as an area of your app, or a custom URL. When users tap on your notification, they will be directed there.
On the right-hand panel under "Preview" you can have a sneak peek of what your notification will look like so you know what to expect users to receive.
Using Destination is straightforward. When creating a push notification, simply select the "Destination" option and choose from the available options:
App Homepage
Collection
Custom URL
Pages
Cart
Product
It's as easy as that! Customize the user experience and drive engagement with precision and ease.
By clicking on the drop down menu under Planning on the right-hand panel, you can choose whether to Send Now or to Schedule it. If you choose to schedule it, you can select the date and time. You can see the timezone you've selected for your Shoppy app by going to Settings > Account.
Available only on Bloom Plan
There are 4 different types of Audience Segmentation that you can utilize with Shoppy; Lists, Localization, Platform, and Test.
For Bloom Plan only, you can select a target audience to send your push notifications to. You can segment your lists using Klaviyo Lists or Shopify Lists. Only one can be enabled at a time on Shoppy.
If you have the Klaviyo integration enabled, you can target users in your Klaviyo Lists by clicking on the green slider next to "Sending to all users", then selecting the lists you wish to include. You can read more about Klaviyo here.
Starting from January 2024, you can also use your Shopify Segments as Lists on Shoppy. On Shopify, you can find the audiences under Customers > Segments. You can read more about how to access customer segments and create new ones on Shopify here.
With Shopify Markets push notifications will be sent to users segmented by the country setting on your Shopify store. This allows you to send push notifications to all users associated with your store's country. Each time you create a push notification, you can create it in the language intended for the audience in that country. This way, you can ensure that only certain notifications are sent to users of the Shopify market store that you intend, allowing you to further personalize your shopper's experience.
You can also segment by Device Language to only send the notifications to users who have their device set in the language of your choice for each notification. This way, each time you create a new notification, create it in the language you wish to apply to users with that device language setting.
Push notifications will be sent to users based on the timzeone that your Shoppy store is set to.
You can also select which platform you would like to send notifications to and send notifications to only iOS, Android, or all devices.
Under Test, you can do a trial and send the notifications out to specific devices to ensure that the notification is working according to your Audience filters. To read more about how to test push notifications, click here to read about My Team Push Notifications. For the best results on a test, ensure that the device you expect to receive a push notification on meets all of the requirements for the filters that you set.
